One Monday Morning in March I revisited the primary school that all of my three children had attended many years ago; Osbaston CIW School. I had been invited to visit the wonderful pupils in the reception class, talk about my photography and lead them in a printmaking workshop.
Having taught in the secondary setting for the past 30 years I was used to prising out enthusiasm from within the teenagers I taught.
The reception class pupils needed no encouragement, their excitement and enthusiasm was invigorating. Their perceptive comments and creative responses to my work resulted in some magnificent mono prints. Pure joy expressed on their faces as they peeled back the paper to expose the coloured ink prints underneath.
